Tiyani Mabunda Foundation brought South African Police Services (SAPS), South African National Defense Force (SANDF), Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) and Correctional Services together at Saulsville Arena, on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, in a combined social and spiritual approach to crime prevention.
Organisers say the prayer aims to address crime not only as law enforcement issue, but as a social and spiritual crisis. The initiative comes as communities in Tshwane continue to struggle with violent crime, gender-based violence and youth involvement in criminal activities. The stakeholders made a call for a united front that combines community with policing and moral regeneration.

Reverend Khololo, who is the convener of Gauteng Spiritual crime prevention, which is the community‑based initiatives where police partner with faith leaders to reduce crime through mediation, moral guidance, youth outreach, prayer activities, and strengthening community values, thanked every law enforcement that protects the society and South Africa as a whole, “but today before we pray, there is something that I want to say that we always forget to say, I want to say to all the law enforcements, the persons in uniform, thank you”. These programs are active in South Africa, including Cape Town, Soshanguve, Primrose, and Vrygrond, where churches and spiritual leaders work with SAPS to address crime’s social and moral roots.
In the prayer points the pastors prayed for divine protection, integrity and justice, inner peace and stability at work and home, courage and strength, peach of South Africa and unity among law enforcement agencies. Tiyani Mabunda said they are here to voice out, “we may not speak to people, but we will speak to the one who created us, we may not tell people our challenges, but we will tell the one who created us”.
